Abstract

A magnetically controllable grinding wheel comprises non-metallically bonded abrasive grains and contains a material to give the wheel a magnetic susceptibility of at least 10-6 CGS units. In an example, a wheel is prepared from a phenolic resin, magnetite grit, calcium oxide, fused alumina grains and anthracene oil.
