Abstract

889,107. Photographic contact screens. ECKERLIN, H., and ECKERLIN, W., [trading as HERBST & ILLIG.]. Feb. 17, 1958, No. 17081/56. Class 98(2). The screen comprises a transparent sheet as of film or glass with as shown grey or opaque dots 3 regularly spaced in rows, transparent dots 2 equidistant from four adjacent grey or opaque dots, and graduated zones therebetween, the area of transparent dot to graduated zone being in the ratio of 1 to at least 20. The graduation may proceed at a constant rate. A method of making the screen indicated is exposure through a ruled cross line screen of line-to-space ratio 1:4 disposed at a distance of 2 to 6 mm. in front of a film having a photosensitive layer through three stops f/90, f45 and f/16, and development of the layer.
