In a laterally removable central-keel block including a pedestal 1 having a laterally slightly concave upper surface 2 prolonged on both sides by outwardly and downwardly inclined lateral surfaces 3, 4, the pedestal supports a superstructure comprising three movable and independent elements, namely a central element 7 having a base matching the profile of the part of the pedestal supporting it and having on its upper part a horizontal section 10 prolonged on each side by an outwardly extending declinity 8, 9, and lateral elements 19, 20 having a laterally oblique base 11, 12 with a declinity extending outwards and an equally oblique upper part 13, 14 having a declinity extending inwards. The central and lateral elements thus form cradles for the chocks 15, 16.
