Abstract

887,128. Making turbine blades; bending dies. NYDQVIST & HOLM A.B. March 11, 1960 [March 14, 1959], No. 8674/60. Classes 83 (2) and 83 (4). A turbine blade is made by machining one side of a blank 1, Fig. 1, e.g. by milling in accordance with a template, machining plane the other side of the blank, Fig. 2, welding stainless material on to the plane surface, grinding the weld plane, machining the edges of the blank to shape and bending between dies, Fig. 5. The blank may be heated before bending.
