[Also in Group XXXII] A system for regulating the degree of damping in a road vehicle comprises a carbon stack resistor, responsive both to the load and roughness of the road by using a non-return valve and a bleed hole between the suspension system and the resistor pressure chamber, connected to an electromagnetic device which regulates the damping.
