Abstract

884,242. Crushing mills. ARBOGA MEKANISKA VERKSTAD A.B. May 6, 1960, No. 16175/60. Class 59. In a crusher for lathe shavings or turnings comprising a shaft 4 carrying a cutting tool 3 co-operable with cutting tools 2 attached to the inner wall of a hopper 1, the shaft 4 is driven from an electric motor 18 through a slip coupling comprising a flange 19 of the hub 14 of an inertia wheel 15, a spring-influenced plate 20 splined to a shaft 10 and a flange 21 of the inertia wheel, the shaft 10 having mounted thereon a speed governor 24 for cutting out the motor 18 when the speed of the shaft 10 temporarily falls below a pre-determined value. The motor is coupled with forward and reverse relays so that when the forward relay is cut out, the reverse relay is cut in and the motor driven in the reverse direction for a time interval determined by a time relay whereupon the reverse relay is cut out and the forward relay again cut in. Should several reversals of the motor be necessary a super current protector in the motor will be released and light an indicating lamp.
