Abstract

883,991. Trolley wheels. BUSH & SONS Ltd., F. July 9, 1958 [May 24, 1957], No. 16515/57. Class 144 (1). [Also in Group XIV] A trolley or truck wheel assembly designed to eliminate the picking up of fibrous wheelclogging material comprises a supporting arm 6 directly against one surface of which is clamped, by means of a screw 11 and a nut 13, a cylinder 10 on which the wheel body is supported for rotation between the said arm and a radially extending member such as the washer 14 or an integral flange on the cylinder. The cylinder may be solid and have an extension, of smaller diameter than its wheel-supporting part, screwthreaded to replace the screw 11. The wheel sides may incorporate fibre-deflecting lugs 16 and the body 5, which may be solid metal or comprise a rubber or like annulus fixed as shown to a metal bush 8, may rotate on a self-oiling bush 9 between itself and the cylinder 10.
