883,127. Steam irons. LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. July 22, 1960, No. 25633/60. Class 138 (2). In a steam iron the supply of water from a tank 1 to an evaporation chamber 4 is controlled by means of a finely-adjustable valve 9 which controls the supply of air to the tank 1. The valve 9 is threaded in a cap 7 screwed on to a tubular extension 5 of the tank 1. A separate air-tight filling aperture (not shown) may be provided.
