Abstract
883,090. Moulding magnets by extrusion. BAERMANN, M. March 17, 1958 [April 27, 1957], No. 18461/61. Divided out of 882,712. Class 87(2).. A mixture of the kind described in Specification 882,712, of rubber or a resin, e.g. nylon, and a magnetizable powdered material e.g. manganese-bismuth compounds or iron-barium or iron-strontium is extruded by a worm 2 through a die 5 of non-magnetic material heated at 3 and 4, and magnetized by magnets 10 which move with the material on an endless chain 9. The material may be cooled at 11. In a modification, Fig. 2, (not shown), the magnets may be mounted on a wheel.
