881,848. Cushioning insoles. SCHOLL, MFG. CO. Ltd. Dec. 23, 1958 [June 11, 1958], No. 41554/58. Class 17(2) A thermoplastic foam cushion 2 and layers 1 and 3 woven of thermoplastic filaments are heat sealed together round the periphery only, to form an insole, so that the seam is smooth, by laying over the layers 1 and 3 thermoplastic films 5 and 6, which are included in the sealing process, the parts of the films not included in the seam subsequently being removed. Extra cushions, smaller than cushion 2 may either be sealed to cushion 2, Fig. 8 (not shown) or to a cover film, Fig. 9 (not shown) sealed to cushion 2 peripherally. U.S.A. Specifications 2,160,931 and 2,495,045 are referred to.
