Class 20(4) Roofing comprises adjacent metal, e.g. zinc sheets overlapping or mutually spaced along their adjacent edges, along which edges there is adhesively applied a sealing strip comprising an elastic, e.g. synthetic rubber band coated on one side with adhesive over which, along the central portion of the band, a substance such as a strip of polyethylene is applied to render the central portion of the band non-adhesive, whereby the band will not adhere to the extreme edges of the sheets thereby permitting their free movement as the sheets expand. Where one sealing strip crosses above another, the adhesive is left uncovered for the whole width of the band.
