Abstract

878,050. Lamp holders. PRESSAC Ltd. May 30, 1960 [June 22, 1959], No. 21298/59. Class 38 (1). A holder for a screw-type lamp bulb is formed of plastic, e.g. nylon, polythene, &c., and is provided with an end wall 2 which yields to end thrust exerted when a bulb is screwed home in the holder. Distension of the end wall draws the cylindrical wall of the holder into contact with the bulb shank so that the bulb does not become loose in the holder when the latter is subjected to the heat of the bulb. A contact strip 5 for the shank of the bulb is accommodated within a groove formed in a threaded portion 4 of the holder. A securing channel 6 is provided.
