Abstract

877,216. Screw conveyers. MAHDRESCHERWERK WEIMAR, VEB. April 14, 1959, No. 12610/59. Class 78 (1). Grain is discharged from a bin by a worm 7 mounted therein, or by gravity if the bin has a sloping bottom, and is conveyed away from the bin by a worm 9, the casing 8 of which is mounted rotatably on a housing 2 attached to the bin. The housing has an opening 4 through which the grain passes into the casing 8. The shaft of the worm 7 is connected by chain-andsprocket gearing to a shaft which is connected by bevel gearing 5 to the shaft 3 of the worm 9.
