876,541. Electric heating. DREW, A. E., and COX, A. G. Dec. 30, 1958 [Nov. 20, 1958], No. 37338/58. Class 39(3). A heating device attached to a door 50 comprises a heating element 11 passing through holes 20 in insulators 16 and housed within a container or trough constituted by a back plate 14 mounted adjacent the lower edge of the door and a cover plate 25 attached to and spaced from the plate 14. The lower longitudinal margin 36 of the cover plate extends below the lower edge of the door and is curved towards it to form the lower bound of an open mouth to receive air passing beneath the door, which air is heated and discharged through an opening 40 between the back plate 14 and the curved upper longitudinal marginal part 41 of the cover 25. The ;door is thermally insulated from the device by asbestos strips 21 opposite the element 11 and by the provision of a space between the door and the plate 14 through which cool air can pass.
