875,107. Taking up slack of flexible members. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. May 4, 1960 [May 8, 1959], No. 15893/59. Class 78 (2). A tool carrier 10 for a flame-cutting torch (not shown) is movable on spaced rails 11 (one only shown) and is connected by flexible members (e.g. electric cables and gas supply hose) 17 to a fixed service point 18. The flexible members 17 are disposed in a loop, the upper run of which is supported on carriage 13. The latter is driven in the same direction as the carrier 10, but at half the speed, by the interaction of a rack 19, pinions 20, 23 and a rack 24 on the carriage 13.
