Abstract
874,895. Cable joints. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE LIAISONS ELECTRIQUES. Feb. 5, 1958 [Feb. 13, 1957], No. 3814/58. Class 38 (1). A lead sleeve 1 enclosing a joint between lead-sheathed cables has applied thereto a protective coating 2 consisting of tape covered with material such as plaster or a polyester which, immediately before application to the sleeve, is soaked in hardening liquid so that the material sets quickly after application. The coating may extend beyond the sleeve and over the ends of the outer sheaths 4 of the cables.
