873,290. Synthetic resin baskets and trays. MAUSER, R., MAUSER, A., MAUSER, P., and MAUSER, E. Feb. 16, 1959 [Feb. 15, 1958; March 6, 1958], No. 5257/59. Class 18. A thin walled basket or tray of a thermoplastic synthetic resin has reinforcing ribs 2, 3, 4, Fig. 4, projecting outwards beyond the peripheral wall of the body, has reinforcing ribs on the bottom 13, and has two or four handles 8. The basket or tray may be rectangular or oval and may have solid sides or lattice sides ; in the latter case a plain portion 14 is provided in the side walls to carry a statement of contents or the firm's mark. The top edge 6 is turned over and has ribs 7a, this edge being shaped to form the handles 8. In a rectangular body the ribs on the bottom are in the form of a grid ; in an oval body the ribs are concentric with the periphery of the bottom and a further rib is arranged on the central longitudinal axis of the bottom.
