Abstract
872,770. Resilient mountings. LORD MANUFACTURING CO. March 7, 1960, No. 8041/60. Class 108(3). A resilient mounting comprises spaced supporting and supported members with a body of rubber or like material between them in which is embedded a floating member with two extended surfaces arranged at an angle to each other and spaced from and extending along corresponding extended surfaces of the supporting and supported members. In Fig. 2 is shown a mounting comprising a disc-like supporting member 2, a tubular supported member 1, a block of rubber 5 and a floating member 6 with tubular portion 7 spaced from member 1 and flange portion 8 spaced from member 2. Fig. 1 shows an installation utilizing a pair of the resilient mountings back to back.
