Abstract

The film-forming composition of the parent Specification (a vinylidene chloride copolymer plus 1%-5% of a solid ketone) is modified by the further incorporation of 0,01-0,2 wt. per cent (based on the total solids) of silica having a particle size below 200 millimicrons. Exemplary compositions comprise a 90/10 vinylidene chloride/acrylonitrile copolymer, laurone, 3-15 millimicron silica and a 50/50 toluene/methyl ethyl ketone solvent mixture.
