Abstract

871,091. Mounting engines. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd., and METALASTIK Ltd. April 14, 1960 [May 7, 1959], No. 15679/59. Class 79(3). [Also in Group XXXII] A resilient support, D, (see Group XXXII) for mounting an engine, comprises a pair of parallel plates 13 between which is an apertured member 10 of H-cross-section with the risers of the H parallel to the plates and attached thereto by rubber or the like in compression. The support, D, is attached to the engine by a bolt, 16, passing through the apertured member 10 into a bracket 17 and to cross-member B by bolts 18 passed through tubular members 15 which members serve also to keep the plates, 13, together and the rubber in compression.
