870,293. Cathode-ray tube mountings. RADIO & ALLIED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 28, 1960 [Jan. 29, 1959], No. 3183/59. Class 40(7) To enable separation of a cathode-ray tube from a chassis containing associated circuit components, a plurality of disengageable connecting means each of which includes a member on the tube mounting frame and a co-operating member on the chassis are provided. In one arrangement the frame carries horizontal spring clips and the chassis carries rippled studs, and locating studs on the bottom of the frame co-operatewith holes in the chassis (Fig., Prov., not shown). In a further embodiment each chassis member comprises a stud 10 with a screw-driver slot 12 and a shank 13 having a flat tail 14, and co-operates with a slot 18 in the tube mounting frame; the slots are surrounded by dimples which prevent free rotation of the wings of tail 14.
