Abstract

868,704. Stabilizing transistor amplifiers. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. Aug. 22, 1957 [Aug. 23, 1956], No. 26540/57. Class 40(6) In a three-stage transistor amplifier D.C. negative feedback is applied around the first two stages to partially stabilize the transistor currents and the residual changes of output current of the second stage with changes in temperature are used to stabilize the third stage..In the Figure the stages are transformer coupled, additional windings being provided to supply negative signal frequency feedback to the respective emitters. Negative D.C. feedback is provided between the emitter of the second stage and the base of the first to partially stabilize the currents with changes in temperature and supply voltage. The residual changes in collector current of the second stage are sufficient to supply a varying bias voltage through a potentiometer 11 to stabilize the third stage. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 1 not shown) resistance coupling between the first two stages is provided.
