868,008. Spectacle hinges. WHEWAY, F. O. Feb. 1, 1960 [Feb. 2, 1959], No. 3564/59. Class 97(1) A spectacle frame comprising two eyepieces joined by a bridge and con. nected by hinges 9 to temple bars 5, has a recess 10 formed in the near face of each eyepiece in the base of which a part, serving tc retain in place a pair of ,rivets 11 by which the hinge leaf 8 is secured to the eyepiece, is cemented. In Fig. 2 the part is a leaf 12 joining the ends of rivets 11 which together with a supplementary moulding 13 is cemented in the recess.
