Class 97(1) A spectacle frame comprises a front part and side members hinged thereto, and has one or more flexible portions formed by a chain of elements mutually articulated along cylindrical surfaces and held together by a flexible core passing through them. As shown, cylindrical elements 4 are placed in holes in a side arm 2 which is slotted at 6 to form small blocks. The small blocks and elements are joined together by a flexible core 3a. Similar chains may be formed on the front part at the nose piece and adjacent the hinges.
