866,862. Portable drilling-machines. BOLIDENS GRUVAKTIEBOLAG. May 26, 1959 [Dec. 9, 1958], No. 17863/59. Class 83 (3). Drilling apparatus comprises an electric motor 2 driving a drill string and diamond drill 1, guides 6 carrying the motor and pivoted to a plate 8 anchorable to the rock, means 5 for urging the motor towards the rock and means 11 for initially guiding the drill. The plate 8 is attached to the rock by an expanding anchor bolt 9, the angle of the plate being adjusted by screws 10. The feed means 5 is hydraulically operated. The motor may be swung aside by hydraulic means 7 to enable the drill string to be withdrawn.
