866,725. Centrifugal moulding-machines. HOOKER Ltd., W. J., and JONES, J. P. P. March 10, 1958 [Dec. 10, 1956], No. 37693/56. Class 87(2). [Also in Groups XXII and XXVI] A machine for centrifugally casting synthetic plastics and ceramics comprises springs 28 tensioned by a fluid pressure device 36. The pressure of the device 36 is first adjusted against a pressure gauge. A release lever 34 is then moved to allow a double-armed member 17, 18 to be rotated by the spring about a pivot 11, the drive being through a pawl 33 engaged by a ratchet. The member 17, 18 carries the casting chamber 21 on one side and an adjustable counterweight 22 on the other.
