Abstract
782,026. Pressure gauges. ROUQUET, J. M. A. V. March 16, 1955 [March 18, 1954], No. 7731/55. Class 106 (2). Small pressure changes are indicated by means of a device comprising a small light plate 7 movably mounted in an opening 2 between the enclosure to be controlled and the exterior, the plate 7 being subjected on the one hand to the pressure to be indicated or controlled and on the other hand to an opposing force slightly weaker than this pressure so that normally the plate is maintained in one stable position but on a decrease in pressure is moved under the opposing force into a second stable position. As shown, the opposing force is that of an adjustable weight M and the location of the second stable position is adjustable by a screw 5. The plate may be mounted horizontally with its own weight providing the restoring force. The restoring force may alternatively be that of a spring bearing on the plate.
