Abstract

865,965. Recording pen inks. RECORD ELECTRICAL CO. Ltd. Aug. 14, 1957 [Sept. 10, 1956], No. 27577/56. Class 146(3). An ink for use in recording pens consists of a solution of a basic dyestuff in substantially pure ethylene glycol. The dyestuff is preferably used in amount of 2 to 10% by weight of the ink. The ink can be made by heating the glycol to about 80‹C., adding the dyestuff, e.g. Eosin Lake Red, Methyl Lake Violet or Brilliant Green, thereto with agitation and subsequently cooling, settling and filtering the resulting mixture.
