Abstract

1,215,514. Inks containing aminotriarylmethane thiocyanates. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 2 May, 1968 [5 May, 1967], No. 20862/68. Heading C4A. [Also in Division C3] Inks contain a thiocyanate of a basic aminotriarylmethane dye as the colour. Specified dyes are fuchsine, crystal, methyl and ethyl violets, Victoria and Rhodulin blues, malachite, brilliant and diamond greens. The dye derivatives may be dissolved in ethanol, aqueous ethanol, glycols, glycol ethers, mineral oils or higher fatty acids. In examples, dye thiocyanates are used (1) in a flexographic ink comprising shellac (3) in a stamping ink comprising a liquid polyethylene oxide (5) to make an ethanol stock solution (6) in a ball pen ink comprising hexanetriol phthalate, and (7) in diethylene glycol solution.
