Abstract

1,206,534. Flexographic printing inks. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 16 Feb., 1968 [17 Feb., 1967], No. 7666/68. Headings C3F and C3P. [Also in Division C4] Flexographic printing inks contain a basic dye and, as laking agent, a monoester and/or monoamide of 1,2,4 - benzenetricarboxylic acid (trimellitic acid) with a C 2 -C 14 aliphatic alcohol and/or amine. In Example 2, the ink contains auramine O, the 2 - ethylhexanol monoester of trimellitic acid, ethyl cellulose, methylated spirit and ethylene glycol monoethyl ether. Example 3 specifies Diamond Green G, the 1 - methyldecylamine monoamide of trimellitic acid, a copolymer of styrene and a maleic ester and solvent as in (2). Example 5 specifies rhodamine 6G, the 1 - methyloctylamine monoamide of trimellitic acid, pyroxylin in butanol, dibutyl phthalate, methylated spirit, and ethylene glycol monomethyl ether.
