Group XXII] An hydraulic jack is extended by a spring 11 and contracted by a pump 13 which transmits oil from reservoir 14 to chamber 5. The spring is housed in a bore 4 provided with an air vent 12. The jack is used for clamping components together for welding (see Group XXII).
