865,552. Controlling nuclear reactors. ZAVODY V.I. LENINA PLZEN NARODNI PODNIK. Feb. 17, 1959 [Feb. 18, 1958], No. 5408/59. Class 39(4). To measure the period of a reactor, the period being defined as the derivation of the logarithm of the reactor output: with respect to time, a radiation sensitive element 2 is moved with respect to the reactor 1 by a servo mechanism 5 until the signal it produces matches an input signal 4 in a reference circuit 3. The difference signal from the reference circuit 3 operates the servo mechanism 5 and also an indicator 6.
