Abstract

6-[a -(2; 4-Di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) acetamido]- 2; 4-dichloro-3-methylphenol is prepared by treating 2; 4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy-acetic acid with triethylamine and ethyl chloroformate at 10 DEG C, and then adding 6-amino-2; 4-dichloro-3-methylphenol. If, instead of the latter amine 1-(2; 4; 6(or 5)-trichlorophenyl)- 3- (m-aminobenzamido)- 5-pyrazolone or a -(m-aminobenzoyl)-2-methoxyacetanilide is used, there results 1(2;4;6 (or 5)-trichlorophenyl)-3-[3-a -(2;4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) acetamido)benzamido]-5-pyrazolone or a -(3-[a -(2; 4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) acetamido] benzoyl)-2-methoxy-acetanilide respectively. The following compounds are similarly prepared; 6-[a -(3-n-pentadecylcyclohexyloxy) acetamido] -2; 4-dichloro-3-methylphenol from 3-pentadecyl clorohexyloxyacetic acid and 6-amino-2;4-dichloro-3-methyl-phenol, and a -benzoyl-5-[g -(2;4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) butyramido]-2-methoxy acetanilde and 1-(2; 4; 6-trichlorophenyl)-3-[3-(a -(2; 4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) butyramido) benzamido]-5-pyrazolone from g - or a -2; 4- di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) butyric acid and a -benzoyl-5-amino-2-methoxy-acetanilide or 1-(2; 4; 6-trichlorophenyl)-3-(m-amino-benzamido)-5-pryrazolone respectively. 1-Hydroxy-2[g -(2; 4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy)-n-butyl]-naphthamide is prepared by reacting g -(2; 4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) butylamine with phenyl 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate. a -(3-[g -(4-n-Amylcyclohexyloxy) butramido] benzoyl)-2-methoxy-acetanilide is prepared by reacting g -(4-n-amylcyclohexyloxy) butyric acid with a -(m-aminobenzoyl)-2-methoxy acetanilide. 2; 4-Di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy-acetic acid is prepared by hydrogenating 2; 4-di-n-amylphenoxy-acetic acid with hydrogen under pressure and a platinum oxide catalyst. The following compounds are similarly prepared from the phenoxy compounds; 3-pentadecyl cyclohexyloxy-acetic acid, g -(4-n-amylcyclohexyloxy)- butyric acid and g -(2; 4-di-n-amylcyclohexyloxy)- butyric acid. g -(2; 4- di-n-amylphenoxy) butyronitrile is prepared by treating 2; 4-di-n-amylphenol in sodium hydroxide with g -chloro-butyronitrile. Hydrogenation of the product gives g -(2; 4-di-n-amylcylohexyloxy) butylamino. 2; 4-Di-n-amylphenol is prepared by acylation of p-namylphenol with valeric acid followed by hydrogenation. Treatment of the product with chloracetic acid in sodium hydroxide gives 2; 4-di-n-amyl phenoxyacetic acid. g -(4-n-Amylphenoxy) butyric acid is prepared by reacting the p sodium salt of 4-n-amylphenol with g -butyrolactone.
