864,641. Fused-electrolyte apparatus. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. Feb. 1, 1945 [Feb. 7, 1944], No. 2613/45. Drawings to Specification. Class 41. The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 864,640 but the claims differ. Uranium halide is delivered to the fused chloride electrolyte at points adjacent the circumference of the carbon crucible, but the graphite ring described in Specification 864,640 is omitted. A screw conveyer delivers the halide from a hopper to the distributing tubes, and the central cathode may be of molybdenum.
