Abstract

A pharmaceutical composition having antidiabetic activity in a form suitable for oral administration, e.g. tablet, powder or capsule, comprises at least 25 mg. of dicyclopropyl ketazine and a solid non-toxic pharmaceutical carrier. The carrier may form the container for the dicyclopropyl ketazine as in the case of gelatin in a gelatin capsule. The solid composition may contain binding agents, diluents and tabletting adjuvants, e.g. corn starch, acacia, lactose, talc, stearic acid, magnesium stearate and gums. The composition may take the form of a liquid comprising a liquid pharmaceutical carrier, e.g. water, containing at least 5 mg./c.c. of dicyclopropyl ketazine with a minimum of 25 mg. of dicyclopropyl ketazine, with a preservative and/or flavouring agent or agents and/or one or more non-toxic suspending agents, e.g. acacia, carboxymethyl cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, and esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid.
