Abstract
860,480. Combine harvesters. CLAAS, H. April 30, 1959 [May 12, 1958], No. 14701/59. Class 6(3). In a self-propelled combine-harvester, the driving motor 14 is mounted above one of the front driving-wheels 4 and is supported on the front axle 2 so as to form a counterweight for a filling platform 13 on the other side of the harvester body. The motor is mounted on a horizontal framework 22 carried by a strut 24 and by a leg 25 which is supported by the wheel 4. The wheels 4 are driven by a belt 15 and gearbox 18, and a drive is also taken to the beater 8 and other moving parts of the threshing mechanism.
