860,391. Moulding aerofoils. FISCHER, H. O., and SCHULZ-WILMERT, B., [trading as RHEIN - WEST - FLUG FISCHER & CO.]. Jan. 23, 1958 [Jan. 23, 1957], No. 2304/58. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XXXIII] A method of making aeroplane wing or tail units comprises forming a light metal core consisting of two interconnected hollow members 1, 2, inserting the core into a mould 12, 13 provided with a layer of plastic material 14 and filling the space between the layer 14 and the core 1, 2 with a foamed plastic material to mould the article. The lining may be glass fibre reinforced ployester resin.
