Abstract

The invention comprises 7-aminoalkoxy-2-phenyl chromones substituted at the nitrogen atom by two alkyl radicals which may, together with the nitrogen atom, form part of a saturated heterocyclic ring, and optionally bearing alkoxy groups in the phenyl ring and acid addition salts thereof, together with a process for their preparation by reacting an alkali metal salt of 2-phenyl-7-hydroxy chromone with a basically substituted alkyl halide in the presence of an inert organic solvent, preferably dioxane. Examples detail the preparation of 2-phenylchromones bearing in position 7 N-g -dimethyl-aminopropoxy-, b -piperidinoethoxy-, N-b -dimethylaminoethoxy-, N - b - diethylaminoethoxy- and N-b -morpholinoethoxy - radicals and of 2-(p-methoxyphenyl) chromones substituted in position 7 by the above groups (excepting the last) and also by b -pyrrolidinoethoxy- and g -pyrrolidinopropoxy-radicals.
