Abstract
859,604. Non-reciprocal transmission devices. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO. Ltd. March 25,1959 [June 3, 1958], No. 17757/58. Class 40(8). H.F. apparatus comprises a non-linear device 1, e.g. a crystal mixer or rectifier, an H.F. transmission line 2, e.g. a waveguide or a coaxial line, connected to the device 1, and, in the run of the line 2 and adjacent the device 1, a section 3 of non-reciprocal transmission line constructed to absorb at least one harmonic, preferably the second, of the high frequency used. When the transmission line 2 is a waveguide the section 3 is constituted by a length of waveguide 2<SP>1</SP> having ferrite inserts 31 which are fixed in predetermined positions therein and magnetically polarized by a predetermined magnetic field applied by the magnets 32.
