858,712. Centrifugal fans. ELECTROLUX Ltd. March 22, 1957 [March 27, 1956], No. 9439/57. Class 110 (1). [Also in Groups XXIII and XXVIII] A double-sided fan is provided on one side with a second series of fan blades. In the suction cleaner and floor polisher shown, motor 27 drives a double-sided fan 33 provided on opposite sides with fan blades 38 and 39. The uppermost fan blades 38 draw air in through louvres 63 and then through the motor, and discharge it into space 28 below sealing-ring 59 from which it passes through a duct (not shown), into space 42, and emerges through air discharge openings around the polishing brushes. Fan blades 39 draw air and dust through nozzle 153 and discharge them into a dust bag 21. An additional ring of fan blades 40. is provided on the upper surface of the fan 33 to prevent any flow of air from space 34 into space 28 through the clearance 41 around fan wheel 33.
