856,190. Heat-insulated pipes &c. COALS, V. L. Aug. 21, 1959 [Aug. 29, 1958], No. 27885/58. Class 99(2). Lagging for pipes, containers &c. comprises two complementary elements A, B moulded from a heat-insulating plastic material such as expanded polystyrene and which interlock along the adjacent edges thereof. As shown, the semi-circular elements each have tongues 11 and grooves 12, the former being sprung into the latter, and lips 13 for location in recesses of contiguous elements. In a modification, the interlocking means comprises studs on one element for engagement in holes in a complementary element.
