The circuit-breaker of Specification 809,187 is arranged to have one or more immediate reclosing operations followed by delayed reclosing operations. To effect the immediate reclosing operations, the counter 216, Fig. 2, is provided with an adjustable cam member 246, which in the arrangement shown, closes a switch 213 on each of the first two steps of the upward movement of the counter 216. Hence for the two initial reclosing operations the energizing circuit for the reclosing motor 150, Fig. 4, is completed through the switch 213 and auxiliary contacts 221 of the circuit-breaker without the delay imposed by the time-delay device 200 on the switch 205 which completes the energizing circuit for the motor on the subsequent reclosing operations. In this arrangement the time-delay devices 32 for delaying the tripping of the circuit-breaker are rendered ineffective for the initial tripping operations by a further adjustable cam member 243 on the counter 216. The member 243 acts through a member 190 to disconnect the devices 32 for the first one or two opening operations.
