Abstract

855,067. Electromagnetic switches. VENNER Ltd. Feb. 20, 1957 [Nov. 21, 1955], No. 33321/55. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XVIII] An electromagnetically-maintained balance 1, Fig. 1, oscillates a lever 27 which actuates change-over switches 47, 48 and 47, 49 alternately. The lever 27, Fig. 5, is formed of two parts 22, 23, each having a forked end 29, 29a, Fig. 6, which co-operate respectively with a pin 15, 17 extending from a roller 13, Fig. 5, on the balance staff 4. The forked ends 29, 29a are provided with cammed surfaces, Fig. 6, so shaped that, as the balance swings in either direction, the lever 27 is moved in the opposite direction by the pins 15, 17 but is momentarily held stationary in the middle of its movement with both change-over switches 47, 48 and 47, 49 open.
