A steamer for extracting juice or other liquids comprises a base pan A, an upper pan C fitting on the base pan and having an upward pro. jection F in its base apertured at G. a perforated receptacle D having a corresponding projection H in its base, a lid E, and a valved outlet adjacent to the base of the upper pan. An outlet pipe J from the upper pan C is joined to a rubber tube K, fitted for observation purposes with a glass tube N, the pipe J being opened or closed by a spring clamp member L.
