854,101. Hasp fastenings. CHENEY & SON Ltd., C. W., and CHENEY, C. W. April 8, 1958 [Feb. 23, 1957], No. 6137/57. Addition to 841,044. Class 44. The fastening of the parent Specification is modified in that the slide 2 is provided remote from the hinge 7 for the hasp 8 with an abutment 32 arranged to engage over the longitudinal edge 33 of the lid 26 and retain the front of the lid in normal position relative to the body 25. The abutment may extend over the full width of the slide, as shown, or may be formed as three parallel lips, Fig. 7 (not shown). In modifications, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), the abutment is formed with or without a base part on which the edge of the lid bears.
