853,153. Moulding pottery. DUNN, BENNETT & CO. Ltd. Aug. 17, 1959 [Aug. 21, 1958], No. 26856/58. Class 87(1) An article of pottery e.g. a tea cup, is formed in a mould using a profiletool having an inverted curved recess; a point of which registers with a sunken edge formed by an anriular recess on the upper surface of and contiguous with the mouth of a mould so that extraneous clay is forced into said recess. The mouth of mould a is provided with a shallow recess a<SP>1</SP> and the sharp edge c<SP>3</SP> of tool c registers with the inner edge of the recess and forms the mouth of a cup b in a single jolleying operation.
