Abstract
920,444. Moulding tea-cups &c. STAFFORDSHIRE POTTERIES Ltd. April 5, 1960 [March 12, 1959], No. 8655/59. Class 87(2). A cup is formed with an integral handle by moulding with a carbon-tipped tool a ball of clay in the cavity D of a mould A so that the clay is distributed around the cavity D and also into a side cavity E to form a block appendage. The mould and its contents are dried and the cup is extracted from the mould, its handle shaped by a machine which subjects the block appendage to simultaneous pressure from opposite sides, and then fired. Specification 908,508 is referred to.
