Abstract

853,043. Brackets. BRADLEY & CO. Ltd. Nov. 15, 1958, No. 36818/58. Class 52(5) A vertically adjustable ironing board b is pivoted to a wall frame a by links c, mounted on a slide c<SP>1</SP> at the end b<SP>1</SP> of the board and pivoted to lugs a<SP>1</SP> of the frame, and by links d, e connecting the end b<SP>2</SP> of the board to lugs a<SP>3</SP> and to links c respectively, the height of the board being determined by a rod c<SP>2</SP> attached to the slide cl and a fixing member for the rod. In the horizontal position of the board the links d, e are substantially aligned, the link d being depressed to fold the board against the wall, and by operation of the fixing member, which may be a finger-manipulated catch c<SP>3</SP> for the rod c<SP>2</SP> as disclosed in Specification 715,732 or Specification 807,866, the height of the board in the horizontal position can be adjusted.
