Abstract
850,916. Ironing presses. VERKSTADS AKTIEBOLAGET CALOR. July 1, 1959 [July 4, 1958], No. 22583/59. Class 138 (2). Garment sleeves placed over forms 3 are moved into pressing position between pressing- shoes 8, 9 which are arranged at a small angle to the paths of the forms 3 so that the movement of the forms is limited by contact with the shoes 8, and movement of the shoes 9 towards the shoes 8 causes the forms 3 to swing about shafts 30 by means of which they are pivotally mounted on a movable table 2. Springs 32 bias the forms 3 to the Fig. 3 positions. The table 2 has wheels 4 running on inclined rails 5 which may be curved upwardly at the rear to speed up the return motion of the forms to the loading position. The shoes 9 are pivotally mounted by means of pins 12, 14 and arms 11. They are moved to pressing-position by two-armed pivoted levers 18 operated by pistons in a fluidpressure cylinder 21 (see Fig. 2, not shown), the supply to which is controlled by a valve 25 operated by table 2, and valves (not shown) which are only open when the operator moves manual control-levers 7 clockwise in Fig. 1. Sleeve-expanding blades 35 are mounted on leaf-springs 37 within the forms 3.
