Abstract

A dispensing package comprises a container having a manually operable discharge valve and a dip tube, and containing a toothpaste having an apparent viscosity within the range 20,000-200,000 centipoises when measured at 1 r.p.m. on the Interchemical Rotational Viscometer, and a pressurized inert insoluble gaseous propellant. The Specification describes suitable examples of toothpaste having the required property comprising dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, sodium lauryl sulphate, glycerine, water, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, and sorbitol. Specification 680,067 is referred to.
